Let’s give thanks for the challenges that we have faced, overcome, and learned from! Let’s also focus your youth ministry students on the challenges that are ahead of them in the future, and encourage them to prepare now.

Keeping with the Thanksgiving holiday theme this week, here is a fun game that you can do with your youth ministry students. It’s a great game to get everybody thinking, and to bring everybody together as a team.

Youth Ministry Lessons: Many people claim to know scripture, but the truth is many still have trouble knowing exactly what’s in the Bible and what is more of a pithy saying that sounds biblical but really has no biblical merit whatsoever.

Youth Ministry Lessons: The average teenager hears more than 34 references to branded alcohol in the music they listen to every day. This is sending a negative message aimed at teens to indulge in celebrity-endorsed alcohol brands.

Youth Ministry Lessons: As the recession continues, a pastor has decided to do something for the streams of new homeless men, women and families. Although helping the less fortunate is admirable to most, there are some that don’t like his efforts.

Youth Ministry Lessons:In a recent and alarming trend at private universities, many Christian organizations are finding themselves on the outskirts of campus life, slowly being pushed to the fringes for their religious beliefs.

The idea of birth control is controversial no matter what the context. Should the government be allowed to force institutions to offer birth control? Do parents have the right to say whether or not their children can receive birth control?
