Youth Ministry Lessons: It seems like the word “bully” is becoming commonplace in the vocabulary of children and teenagers as more and more youth are facing the problem, both physically and throughout cyberspace.

Youth Group Lessons: Parents should do everything to keep their children safe and secure from all harm. For many children who are the victim’s of child abuse, however, they face harm at the hands of the ones who should be protecting them: their parents.

Many of us are guilty of taking what we have been blessed with for granted. It’s easy to overlook all that we have, but it’s stories like this that will encourage your youth ministry to be grateful, and thinking about how to give back.



It seems that one cannot escape words like “organic”, “green” and “eco-friendly”. A casual trip to the supermarket can become a barrage of expensive,  “healthier”, items placed discreetly by regular products, enticing consumers to buy organic ingredients.

Youth Group Lessons: It would appear that humans aren’t the only species with a liking for alcohol. Recently a moose in Sweden was found hanging in an apple tree, drunk from the fermented apples he couldn’t stay away from.

When it comes to injuries sustained at fast food restaurants, it seems there is a never-ending stream of stories. Some seem to be urban legend and some have the glimmer of truth, and this story is likely to make your stomach churn.

For inmates that are mentally ill, certain things about prison life can actually worsen their mental illness and reformers are calling for changes, specifically changes in regards to how mentally ill prisoners are punished with the prison itself.

Youth Ministry Lessons: Since the recession hit the United States, there have been few positives. In a recent study, however, they found several huge positives: one of which is parents are finally beginning to talk to their children about financial issues.
