Youth Ministry Lessons: As cultures and countries are exposed to more outside influence than ever before, China is an example that is torn between two identities and two mindsets that often seem against one another.



United Colors of Benetton recently released an ad campaign to promote their foundation, called UNHATE. While the new campaign might promote love, it is a bit shocking and controversial to many.

A heartbreaking story has made headlines that reminded everyone to have compassion, no matter what side of the homosexuality debate they are on. A young man has been charged with intimidation of a hate crime, invasion of privacy and hindering apprehension.

No one ever imagined the television set declining in importance but recent data from the Nielsen group, a company that follows media use, is showing that younger Americans are slowly moving away from the tube.

Youth Ministry Lessons:  In the past definitions of beauty might have come from peers, relationships or parents, but now teenagers are allowing cyberspace to answer this basic question for them: am I pretty or ugly?
